Setting goals versus New Year’s resolutions

Setting realistic goals is the only way to achievemeant. You can have a new year resolutions but if it’s not attached to goals, we’ll fall short. We won’t know if where achieving or not.
Example

New Year’s resolution: I’m going to the gym everyday at 6 in the morning.

Goal setting: I want to lose 20 pounds in 2017. I’m going to get into the gym as much as necessary, and track progress at the end of the week, every week.

The resolution is frivolous, and the goal setting gives initiatives; with objective.

When we start to see progress we get more involved, and we’re more likely to see our goals through.
